... Mechanic-Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment within our fleet. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Fleet Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
- Diagnose issues with shocks, struts, tires, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct tire services including mounting, balancing, and rotation as needed.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to complete repairs or modifications.
- Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment or materials as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on fleet vehicles.
Skills
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and repairs.
- Ability to weld and fabricate components when necessary.
- Familiarity with tire service procedures including installation and repair.
- Understanding of vehicle schematics for effective diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
